LUNCH PRESENTATION: FROM VOLUME TO VALUE - THE NEED FOR A NEW BREED OF HEALTHCARE ANALYTICS

Mark Larson, Senior Director, SG2

The heath care landscape is fundamentally shifting from a focus on volumes to an emphasis on value. In this environment, hospitals and health systems need a new breed of analytics that provides an integrated view of growth and performance across the full continuum of health care services.

This presentation will explore why the changing health care market is redefining growth and performance and driving the need for a new breed of analytics that will reshape how hospitals and health systems think about the economics of health care. The role of strategic analytics in answering the complex questions facing health care leaders will be highlighted, including how analytics can be used to understand the impact of health care reform on organizational margins and the ability to compete on value. Attendees will learn the appropriate actions they need to take drive organizational results and which analytics are critical to understanding current and future growth opportunities within the health care industry.
